NO*. You have no obligation to attend all functions. *Exception: The National Officer(s), State Officer, 1st Officer, 2nd Officer, and under certain instances. Members, can call a mandatory meeting, although this is rare. 6] | Q: | Where do I purchase Official SCRC Patches, pins, etc? |
A: |
The
Chapter 1st Officer usually keeps a small stock of Chapter
Patches and other Chapter related patches. Check with your 1st
Officer for what he/she has available. If none are available the
1st Officer can usually order what is needed at a reasonable
cost to the Member. The Wing SCRC Patches can only be purchased
through the National Web-site Online Store(see note below)! Note: There is a link to the "On-Line store" on the National website to purchase the Winged Back Patches, Pins, Shirts, Hats, etc. (a link to the National Site is provided on the "Links" page of this site). Such items may be purchased in a secure manner through the Official SCRC On-Line Site. Winged Patches/Logos and the Name, Southern Cruisers Riding Club (SCRC) are Copywrite and Trademark protected and may not be copied, produced, or otherwise used without the Copywrite/Trademark Owners approval in writing. Review the National website section related to this topic. |
7] | Q: | Where do I post and/or ask any questions? |
A: | You may Post/Ask questions on the
Chapter Contact
Page of this site. Click on any of the email addresses for your
Officers and type
your question. If your browser does
not support this function, copy the e-mail address to your prefered
e-mail program. Please give us 3 to 5 business days for a response. Answers will be as a reply to your e-mail. Should you wish a phone call response you will of course provide a viable telephone number, in most cases e-mail is sufficient. Chapter 702 provides the 1st Officers tel no on the Weekly E-mails! |
8] | Q: | Can I hold DUAL Membership (Membership in more than one SCRC Chapter)? |
A: |
NO,
you can hold membership only in the area you designated on your
application as your "Home Address". Note: The Membership Director checks the Roster Database to identify "Dual Membership" and after verification attempts to verify actual Chapter Membership. The Member will be asked to provide his/her actual Legal Residence. It is understood that some of us that are "Snowbirds" and may have two or more homes, nonetheless ONLY ONE (1) Membership is permitted per person and your Permanent Residence is the only acceptable address! If you are unsure what address to use just provide the address of record on your state/gov't issued ID; You can ride with any chapter you wish, this is strongly encouraged, where ever you travel too, when you are a Member of the Club. The only exception is riding with another local Chapter on a date/time your Chapter has a scheduled ride. You should actively support your assigned Chapter. |
|
9] | Q: | What is the "Chain of Command? (For complaints, concerns, Chapter questions, etc.) |
A: |
The proper chain of command
(as per the SCRC "Code of Conduct") is as follows:
1. Chapter 1st/2nd Officers 2. State Officers 3. Regional Officers 4. National Officers Note: For grievances, any member may appeal the decision, if he/she feels the decision is incorrect. All appeals will be made to the Board of Directors (BOD) at this address: BOD@SouthernCruisers.Net All decisions involving the Members grievance will be final! |
|
10] | Q | If I am not able to ride for a period of time will I be dropped from the Chapter Roster? |
A |
If Member is inactive (does not ride, perticipate in events,
communicate with 1st or 2nd Officer) for a period of one
year or more that Member can be dropped, by the 1st Officer from
the Chapter Roster, after all documented attempts to contact that
Member have failed. Part of the 1st Officers reaponsibility is to ensure the Chapter Roster is up to date and is accurate via His or Her communication and correctly captures/identifies Members that participate in Chapter activities. Acceptable contact methods are: E-Mail, Text, voice, or at the 1st Officers Discretion USPS Mail (Stamps Cost Money and this is a Dues Free Club). It is understood and reasonable to conclude that a Member's interests and/or personal circumstances change over time, nothing remains the same in life! Should a Member that has been removed from the Chapter Roster have a change in circumstances and chooses, He or She may rejoin the SCRC at any time. |
